Join us Sunday September 14 for our bi-monthly meeting and featured talk by Eric Benson, avid collector of early American try squares and sliding bevels.
As always, tailgating will start around 9am. A mini-auction will follow around 11am with Eric’s presentation to begin directly afterward.
Discover the manufacturing history of these important tools along with profiles of early or key makers. Learn how to identify makers, determine age, and spot regional differences using key features.
Dig into your inventory and bring out some early squares for Eric to see. (There are many antique squares in collections and markets and the rare items are often overlooked.)
Please bring visitors, spouses, and any guests!
Oh and yes, We are still seeking new club officers. Our president has left the area and moved to the west coast, and our vice president will soon be moving to a southern clime. We need two local people to volunteer to help with these important positions.
The Presidents role is to coordinate the auction consignment efforts for the auction committee. Most of the effort falls between January and March.
The VP role is to coordinate the five educational programs and send announcements.
PATINA is in its 48th year. We want new leaders soon so we can reach the 50 year milestone. We have strong support in the other key roles.
